1. Overview
Canadian Data Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection Act of British Columbia and, where it applies, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you use the Request Quote or Support forms, we collect what you enter: typically your name, email address, organization, and the details of your request.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and analytics tools may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the time of your visit. Where we use analytics, we configure it to minimize personal data where the tool allows.
Spam protection. Our forms, account sign in and checkout may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects hardware and software information to distinguish people from automated abuse. That collection is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Software and connected accounts. What we collect when you buy software, and what happens when you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics to our software, is set out in sections 5 and 6.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use form submissions for marketing lists unless you separately ask to be added.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run this website and our business, such as hosting, email delivery, form processing, and spam protection, and only to the extent needed for that purpose. Those providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Software Purchases & Licences
When you buy software from this website, we collect what the order needs: your name, email address, billing address, and the licence key issued to you. Payment is handled by WooPayments, a service of WooCommerce and Stripe. Your card details go to them directly and are never stored on our servers. We keep order and licence records for as long as the licence is in force and for the period our accounting and tax obligations require.
The free plugin keeps everything in your own WordPress database and sends nothing to us.
The Pro plugin checks candat.com for updates. When it does, it sends its licence key, your website address and the plugin version, so we can confirm the licence and offer the right update. Nothing else is sent, and we use that information only to deliver updates and support.
The hosted service stores the projects, questions and results you create on our servers for as long as your subscription runs. You can export them at any time. After a subscription ends we delete them within ninety days, or sooner if you ask.
Support emails are kept with your order record so we can help you later. Every purchase and subscription is governed by our Software Terms Of Service.
6. Google Search Console & Google Analytics
Our software can connect to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics accounts when you choose to connect them. This section explains what happens when you do.
What we ask for
- Read only access to your Search Console data (the searches that show your website, clicks, impressions and positions)
- Read only access to your Google Analytics data (sessions, users, traffic sources, landing pages and key events)
- Your Google account email address, so the plugin can show which account is connected
How the sign in works
- You sign in on Google’s own page. We never see your Google password.
- Because Google requires the software to be registered once by its publisher, the sign in passes through our website, candat.com. Our website hands the resulting access to your own website immediately and keeps no copy of it.
- The access is stored on your own website, encrypted, and is used only by the plugin installed there.
What we do with your Google data
- Your Google data is read by your own website and shown to you inside the plugin, alongside the AI visibility results it collects.
- We do not receive, store, sell, share or analyse your Search Console or Analytics data. It never leaves your website.
- We use the data for nothing other than displaying it to you and building the reports you ask the plugin to produce.
Withdrawing access
- Press Disconnect under Settings, Connections in the plugin at any time. The plugin asks Google to revoke the access and deletes it from your website.
- You can also remove the access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Data already pulled stays on your website until you delete it or uninstall the plugin.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Our software’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the features described above, is not transferred to anyone except as needed to provide those features or as required by law, and is never used for advertising or sold.
7. Retention
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a reasonable record of enquiries and projects, and then delete or anonymize them. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies needed for it to work and, where enabled, to measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
10. Your Choices & Rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. You may also withdraw consent to further contact at any time. To make a request, use our Support form.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and organizations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
