Traffic Vision

AI analysis for the traffic cameras your municipality already owns. Detect near misses and collisions, report incidents in real time, and collect the planning data that makes intersections safer.

Why It Exists

A pedestrian is killed by a vehicle roughly every two minutes worldwide. Many of those collisions follow patterns that were visible long before anything happened: repeated near misses, illegal turns, late crossings, speeds well above the posted limit. Traffic Vision finds those patterns while there is still time to act on them.

It does this without new hardware. Traffic Vision uses the video cameras already installed at intersections, so a municipality can add AI powered safety monitoring and analytics without buying radar detectors or replacing infrastructure.

Three Jobs, One System

01

Municipal Planning Data

Continuous traffic analytics from existing intersection cameras, ready for traffic engineers and planners.

02

Near Miss Detection

Conflicts between pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles identified and reported, so hazards are fixed before a serious collision.

03

Real Time Incident Reporting

Collisions detected as they happen and reported to first responders immediately.

Capabilities

Monitoring And Classification

  • Real time intersection monitoring
  • AI analysis of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and scooters, tracked as separate classes
  • Compatible with existing traffic camera infrastructure
  • Calibration tool that adapts to any intersection layout
  • Live vehicle signal state classification (red, yellow, green)
  • Live pedestrian signal state classification (walk, don’t walk)

Vehicle Analytics

  • Vehicle movement classification by approach direction
  • Prohibited and illegal turn detection, flagged live the instant it happens
  • Optical speed estimation using AI and computer vision
  • 85th percentile speed and posted speed limit compliance tracking
  • Heavy vehicle percentage tracking
  • Vehicle headway (following gap) timing
  • Stopped time and Level of Service grading
  • Vehicle motion trail visualization

Pedestrians And Cyclists

  • Curb to curb pedestrian crossing detection, by crosswalk and direction
  • Outside crosswalk crossing detection
  • Late crossing tracking relative to the WALK signal phase
  • Pedestrian average crossing speed
  • Dedicated bike lane transit detection and counting
  • Bicycles and scooters distinguished as separate tracked classes

Safety

  • Near miss and collision detection for proactive safety analysis
  • Real time incident detection and reporting
  • Conflict tracking by type: pedestrian and vehicle, cyclist and vehicle, vehicle and vehicle

Reporting And Data

  • Automatic reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule
  • Traffic data analytics and reporting for municipal planning and traffic engineering
  • Exportable PDF reports plus raw CSV and JSON data
  • Busiest approach direction and busiest crosswalk direction summaries
  • Volume by approach direction breakdowns

Privacy And Accuracy

  • Face blur option
  • License plate blur option
  • AI classifier retraining review for improved accuracy over time

Municipalities already own the cameras. Traffic Vision turns them into safety sensors.

Most intersections are recorded and almost none are analyzed. The footage sits unused until something goes wrong, and by then it can only explain the past.

Traffic Vision watches continuously, counts what matters, and surfaces the conflicts and patterns that point to where the next serious collision is likely. That gives planners evidence, first responders faster notice, and residents safer streets.
